Top Places to Visit and Stay from Succession Tv Show
Recently, I have finished watching the last season of the Succession TV series (HBO) and I feel like this is one of the best things I ever watched (FYI: IMDB 8.8 rating). If you like Billions and Suits, or enjoyed reading Shakpire’s King Lear, you will most likely fall in love with the Succession as well. Please see the trailer below.
Succession is incredibly authentic in how they portray the life of elite people. The show creators hired a number of “wealth consultants” to instruct the actors on how to act like billionaires. For example, they were taught not to duck when disembarking from private jets and not to gaze at Manhattan skyscrapers.
One of the things which I loved most about Succession are the locations where it was filmed: starting from luxury apartments in Manhattan to Medieval Ages villas in Toscana. In this post I am going to cover some of the most amazing places from this show that you can actually visit or even rent!
La Foce, Tuscany (Italy) – Lady Caroline’s House (season 3, episode 8)
In the 8th episode of the 3rd season the Roy family travels from New York to Italy to the wedding of Logan Roy’s ex-wife. La Foce villa is the place where Lady Caroline organizes pre-wedding drinks reception.
The villa was built originally as a wayside tavern at the end of the 15th century. Who knows, maybe one day Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti, and Sandro Botticelli used to eat in the tavern while travelling around Florence Republic. They lived at the same time when this tavern was open and only about an hour of horse carriage’s drive from Florence.
Today the villa has 24 rooms and a booking can be made for minimum 3 nights. There are also several other cottages on its territory that are available for rent. You can also just come to visit the villa’s gardens by buying a tour to the villa’s gardens (where the wedding reception at Succession took place) – this is available by appointment only when the villa is not rented. There’s a lot to explore within walking distance from La Foce. A highlight is the Castelluccio castle, dating back to the 13th century, which sits on a hillside above the villa.
Finally, you can also rent it to have your own wedding.
2) Juvet Landscape Hotel (Season 4, Episode 5) – Norway: where a meeting between Roys and Lukas Mattson takes place.
Juvet Landscape Hotel – this is the place in Norway where Kendall, Roman and Shiv meet with the Swedish tycoon Lukas Matsson to negotiate better terms for the sale of Waystar Royco. When Roy family arrives, Lukas was already waiting for them in the hotel together with his team that arrived there for a corporate retreat.
The hotel is located in Norway (Valda valley) amongst the mountain and overlooks the river. To get there – you will need to fly from Oslo to Aalesund Vigra (AES) – it is less than one hour direct flight. And then from Aalesund you can take a car / transfer or taxi (around USD 300) to the hotel (around 1.5 hour to get there).
On the way back to Andalsnes (airport) you can stop by another landmark from the Succession – Eggen Restaraunt. Romsdalen Gondola, the longest gondola in Norway, can be booked for rides to Nesaksla Mountain.

You can recall this villa as Mattson’s vacation home in the 3rd season. Logan and Roman Roys arrive at the villa by helicopter, landing on its private pad, and then take a boat across the lake to reach the villa.

This is the location where Shiv played her wedding with Tom Wambsgans. It is a two-hour drive from the Devon border for those interested in a day trip.
